At its heart, The Path is an exploration of what it means to forge one's own way through life. It reflects the courage required to live authentically, to remain true to oneself, and to embrace a journey that may not always resemble those of others. The path winds confidently through the surrounding patterns, standing apart yet remaining deeply connected to them - much like our own lives are shaped by every encounter, experience, memory, and challenge we collect along the way.

The shifting colours within the pathway symbolise the transitions that define a lifetime. Some arrive gradually, almost imperceptibly, while others emerge unexpectedly and alter our direction entirely. Whether welcomed or resisted, these moments of change become part of a larger narrative. Seen individually they may appear uncertain or incomplete, but viewed as a whole they reveal a journey of remarkable beauty and coherence.

This work was created during a period when I found myself reflecting deeply on purpose, trust, and perspective. It serves as a reminder that life is not something waiting to begin in the future - it is unfolding in the present moment. Even during seasons of uncertainty, when the destination feels obscured, our story continues to take shape exactly as it should.

On a personal level, the piece is rooted in my faith and my belief in divine timing. It reflects a trust that there is wisdom in the unfolding of our lives, that not every turn in the road needs to be understood immediately, and that there is peace to be found in surrendering to a greater plan. While deeply personal in its origin, the work invites viewers to consider their own journey and the unseen threads that connect every chapter of their lives.

The Path is both a meditation and a celebration - an invitation to honour the road already travelled, to embrace the transformations yet to come, and to recognise that even the most challenging passages form part of a story still beautifully unfolding.
